Yevan David joins Motopark for 2025 Euroformula Open campaign

Yevan David, one of the most exciting young racing prospects from Asia, will compete in the 2025 Euroformula Open season with Team Motopark

The 17-year-old Sri Lankan driver has built an impressive racing résumé, progressing from a decorated karting career into single-seaters with immediate results. Having showcased his talent in Formula 4 level competition, David now graduates to Euroformula Open, where he will compete on some of the most iconic circuits in Europe. He debuted in the series and with the team in the last round of last season in Monza, taking two straight race wins.

Yevan David said: “I am thrilled to be joining Motopark for the 2025 season. The Euroformula Open is a fantastic championship that has helped develop many top drivers, and I’m confident that working with such a strong team will allow me to showcase my potential. I am proud to represent Sri Lanka on the international stage and hope to inspire more young racers from my country to pursue motorsport.”

Motorpark Team Principal Timo Rumpfkeil expressed his confidence in David’s potential: “Yevan has shown great promise in his career so far, and we believe he has the ability to be highly competitive in Euroformula Open. His work ethic, determination, and raw speed make him an exciting addition to our team.”

David’s transition into Euroformula Open is also a milestone for Sri Lankan motorsport. As one of the few drivers from the region competing on the global stage, his progress is a source of inspiration for young racers from South Asia looking to break into international competition. Brands Merc Stop, Alcom and Dayholi, as well as Ceylon Motor Sports Club (CMSC), support David on his journey.
