Yeh (Motopark) takes hard-worked pole at Spa

Championship leader Enzo Yeh (Motopark) took pole position at Spa-Francorchamps, his second of the year.  On a day still cold but with better weather conditions, the Taipei-born driver stopped the clock in 2.09.405, beating by 0s175 his teammate Jesse Carrasquedo.

Still, Yeh emerged only at the end of the session. “It hasn’t been an easy start of the weekend”, he reckoned, “as we struggled a bit with the set up throughout the session. But we worked hard and could align everything for the decisive moment of the qualifying session. We will see how things will go in the race, which I prepared well watching all the videos of the last years.”

In row 2 will be two other Motopark cars, the ones of Everett Stack (+0s503) and Jan Koller (+0s587). The fastest BVM Racing driver, Javier Herrera, who led the first part of the session, was fifth –fastest (+0s785) ahead of another Mexican, Diego de la Torre (Motopark, +0s844).

After topping free practice sessions yesterday, Filippo Fiorentino and Genaro Trappa, were ninth and tenth respectively, in Drivex’s return to the series, while set-up issues kept troubling local hero Aaron Ferrazzano (Neri Autosport), who closed th session in 14th place.
