Yeh (Motopark) rounds perfect day with a win in Race 1

Enzo Yeh was the man of the day in the first day of racing of the 2026 Euroformula Open. After conquering the pole in the morning, the Taiwanese of Team Motopark dominated the race from lights to flag, netting his first EF win. Everett Stack came in second after passing Diego de la Torre, completing an all-Motopark podium.

Yeh, who looked unapproachable on the Autódromo do Algarve today, was clearly a happy man: “It’s been a perfect day for me, the car was feeling very well and everything went smoothly from start to the end. It’s nice to start the championship like this.”

Enzo Yeh and Diego de la Torre take a perfect start from row 1, with the Taiwanese keeping the advantage of the pole, but behind them, there is some confusion as Herrera, Castillo and Nandan stall or have a very slow launch.

Yeh is a strong leader in the initial laps, although de la Torre remains close, with Stack in third followed by Dobrzanski, Keller, Famularo and Ferrazzano.  By lap 6, Yeh has a 1.5 second advantage over de la Torre and 2 over Stack, with Carrasquedo in fourth and Ferrazzano an excellent fifth, while Koller and Dobrzankski have contact in lap 7 and spin, dropping down the order. In lap 10, it’s Ferrazzano spinning, also losing positions.

At the front, things start to move when Stack takes second from De la Torre at the braking of first corner in lap 11. The American then starts an attempt to catch Yeh, but the Taiwanese has built in the meantime a 5-second buffer, and the gap will actually increase up to 7 seconds.

Yeh wins ahead of Stack, De la Torre, Carrasquedo, Famularo, Nandan and Dobrzanski, who salvages the win in the Rookies’ Trophy.
