Win and runner-up honours for De la Torre, Dobrzanski crowned Rook0ie of the year

Diego De la Torre took his fifth win of the season, securing the vice-championship in the 2026 Euroformula Open. The Mexican of Team Motopark took the lead at the first corner after a sensational start from row 3 and controlled the rest of the race.

He beat Ricardo Baptista (BVM Racing) and Wiktor Dobrzanski (Motopark). The Brazilian put a solid performance and the Rookies Trophy win. The Pole, on his said, repeated yesterday’s podium and secured the final success in the 2026 Rookies Trophy.

It was a sad blow to Javier Herrera (BVM Racing) who led the standings in the rankings for young drivers throughout the year. The Mexican had a bad day: he was sitting on pole in the reversed grid but had a poor start, passing fifth in the first lap. He then overtook Famularo and Dobrzanski to get into the top 3 but, dropped three positions two laps from the end. The misfortune does not hinder the great season made by the youngest driver on the grid, but the accolades were of no consolation.

Ahead of Herrera, Famularo (BVM) and Carrasquedo (Motopark) finished fourth and fifth, respectively, while Bansal (BVM) passed champion Yeh for seventh in the closing laps, with Koolen (BVM) retiring three laps from the end.
