« It was a good Sunday for me and things start to go in the right direction. Now I am very confident with the car, there is still to learn but the championship is long and I hope to be fighting for it”: Tymek Kucharczyk perfectly summarized his perfect Sunday at Spa-Francorchamps, which he ended by taking a second win in Race 2.
The Pole of BVM Racing was in pole in the reversed grid of the last race and hd a perfect launch. Barrichello, who started next to him in front row, maintained the position for a while, but the battle behind the duo was fierce, with De la torre having to concede two positions to Shin and Garfias, with the latter taking second shortly afte.
Still, the main threat for everybody was coming from David, who was charging from the back and passed everybody to take second by lap 6. The Sri Lankan started to close the gap on Kucharczyk but could not threaten the Pole, finishing second ahead of Garfias, who salvaged a well-deserved podium finish.
Shin, Barrichello and De la Torre completed the top six, while there was a great battle for seventh between Stack, Ryabov, Rashid and Pearson in the closing laps, with positions changing constantly. Eventually, they finished in the mentioned order.
