Tymek Kucharczyk dominated the free practice sessions at Spa-Francorchamps ahead of Round 2 of the 2025 Euroformula Open. On a sunny but not warm day in the Belgian Ardennes, the young Pole of BVM Racing posted a time of 2.12.155 in the morning, beating narrowly Diego de la Torre (Motopark) by 0s029, with two other Motopark drivers quite close: Joss Garfias (+0s155) and Michael Shin (+0s162).
In the afternoon, though, Kucharczyk brought down the reference time to 2.10.444. The warmer temperature all drivers (except Finn Green) to improve. At the end of the day, second-fastest was Joss Garfias (+0s344), followed by points leader Yevan David (Motopark, +0s484), Fernando Barrichello (Motopark, +0s555) and Vlad Ryabov (BVM, +0s591).
It was a working day for the Nielsen Racing trio, as the team and drivers discovered Spa, and struggled with car balance. Their best representative, Ed Pearson, was ninth, 1s330 from the top.
