Jesse Carrasquedo rounded perfect Sunday at Misano by winning also Race 3 on the Italian track after having taken Race 2 in the morning. Considering also the success of Javier Herrera in Race 1, Mexican drivers have swept the floor in this third round of the 2026 Euroformula Open. For Carrasquedo, a 19-year-old from Oaxaca, “now starts a race to catch the points lost with a poor start of the season. It was me not having the right approach.”
Today’s afternoon race had no much story. The Mexican of Motopark was sitting in pole on the inverted grid, flanked by Alessandro Famularo (BVM). While Carrasquedo had a perfect kick-off, the Venezuelan was passed by Stack and de la Torre, with Herrera in fifth, ahead of Baptista. Yeh, who was fifth on the grid, had a poor start, passing in ninth at the end of the first lap, but he rapidly started climbing through the order up to fifth. Herrera repassed him, in what seemed to be a special duel.
The race stabilized with Carrasquedo building a 1.8 second gap. De la Torre was further away, six seconds away from the top, and leading a compact group composed of Famularo, Herrera and Yeh. They were followed by Baptista, an then Nandan and Dobrzanski in full fight. Gaps increased but positions did not change much, except for Herrera to take fourth from Famularo and Dobrzanski securing eighth.
