Former EFO Champion Yifei Ye wins the 24 Hours of Le Mans with AF Corse

After the win of Alex Palou at the Indy 500, the Euroformula Open can celebrate the great success of another of its former drivers in one of the world’s most prestigious races:  Yifei Ye, together with Phil Hanson and motorsport legend Robert Kubica, brought to success in the 24 Hours of Le Mans the Ferrari 499P entered by AF Corse, Ye became the first Chinese to win Le Mans.

The success adds to the many conquered by AF Corse, also a regular and successful contender in the International GT Open, while Ye becomes the first Chinese driver to win Le Mans.

Few weeks ago, when we met Yifei at the Spa 6 Hours, he told us: “I  have very fond memories of my season in the Euroformula Open, because of the title, the nice atmosphere and the fantastic car [the Dallara 320 at the time] which I really enjoyed driving, and helped me a lot in developing as a driver”.
