Carrasquedo (Motopark), recordman of poles with a sixth P1 at Barcelona

Jesse Carrasquedo took the pole position ahead of today’s Race 1 on the Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya. The Mexican of Motopark emerged as fastest from a lively session, posting a time of 1.32.868 on a cool and almost completely dry track.

With his sixth pole, Carrasquedo ends the season as the driver with most poles this season. “It was a good session”, he commented, “and I really like this track. On top, Barcelona is almost home race for me as I live here during the racing season. I still have a chance to finish vice-champion and I’ll definitely go for it “.

Sharing firs row will be 2026 champion Rui-heng Yeh, who in the final fast attempt went out at turn 10 remaining stuck in the sand.  He finished 0s270 behind Carrasquedo.

In row 2 will be another Motopark driver, Diego de la Torre, currently second in the standings (+0s518) and Niels Koolen, in the fastest of the BVM Racing cars (+0s600). The Dutchman led the session for a while in the middle part.

Two other BVM drivers will be in row 3, with Rookies Tropy’s leader Javier Herrera (+0s662) and Ary Bansal (+0s743).
